As a hitter, Shohei Ohtani hit a whopping 4.9 bWAR. Not to mention, he had eight triples, more than any other player in the game.
Ohtani also made history as the first Asian player to receive the Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award, which is given to individuals who have made contributions of historical significance to the game. For Ohtani, the recognition was well-deserved.
When asked about his reaction to the honor, Shohei Ohtani said he was grateful to MLB and the fans who helped him achieve this milestone.
Shohei Kane
It isn’t the first time that Shohei Kane has been on the receiving end of a boogie. It has been a revolving door for the past four seasons, but this year is a different animal. Shohei Kawakami
Kenshin Kawakami, aka Kawakami Shohei, is a Japanese baseball player. He was born on October 26th, 1997, and currently plays for Fujieda MYFC. After playing for the Atlanta Braves, he has spent most of his professional career in Japan. In 2004, he won the equivalent of a Cy Young in the NPB Central League. He has had a total of over 1,000 strikeouts in his career. However, his record for 2009 was only 1-10, and his ERA was 5.15.
The Tampa Bay Rays are in first place in the AL East and have tied the New York Yankees for the top spot. They also have a great rotation with Jair Jurrjens, Alex Wood, and Edwin Jackson.
