9

The Lenovo Legion Y540 is an attractive 15.6″ laptop with a sleek design and powerful performance. This device boasts a wide range of features, including an advanced processor, a thermally optimized cooling system, advanced graphics, and a full-size white-backlit keyboard.

Lenovo’s design

Lenovo’s Legion Y540 is a well-built and configurable gaming laptop. The Y540 offers a wide range of options, including GTX graphics cards, 9th Gen Intel Core processors, and up to 32GB of memory. It is one of the most affordable gaming notebooks on the market.

The Y540 comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display. It also features an anti-glare screen coating, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and narrow bezels around the screen. This makes it ideal for viewing media, although the laptop can be a bit bright.

There are two versions of the Y540, a 15-inch version, and a 17-inch model. Both models use the same thermal module, with enough heat plates to adequately cover the CPU and GPU.

The laptop’s low-key design is complemented by a matte finish. However, the matte finish does affect the brightness of the screen.

The laptop’s keyboard is full-sized, but the keys are quite narrow. The keys have a good actuation force. They are also quiet, but not particularly responsive.

CPU and GPU are fairly standard

Lenovo’s Legion Y540 is a decent gaming laptop, with a high-end display, an RTX 2060 GPU, and solid build quality. It’s also a great price for a 17-inch laptop, especially considering its features and performance.

The Legion Y540 has an Intel Core i7-9750H processor. While this CPU is an overclockable quad-core, it’s not the fastest out there. We didn’t run multi-core tests to test its power, but it did perform very well in Cinebench.

The Legion Y540 comes with a 1TB PCIe SSD, and 16GB of RAM. A dual-channel memory configuration is available.

Lenovo has packaged a 57 Wh battery with the Legion Y540, which isn’t terrible for a laptop of this price point. However, it’s a common occurrence for lower-tier gaming laptops to use an inferior battery.

The display on the Legion Y540 isn’t the brightest or most vivid, but it’s good enough for most media use. Additionally, the 144Hz panel has better color reproduction.

Lenovo’s Legion Y540 offers three different display options. One is the standard 60Hz panel, another is a 144Hz panel with a bit less brightness, and the third is a 240Hz panel with a better color gamut.

Graphics card

Lenovo Legion Y540 is a gaming laptop with a 17.3-inch display and a powerful video card. It is available in various models, including the Core i5, GTX 1660 Ti, and GTX 2060.

Lenovo Legion Y540 is made of plastic and has a thin bezel around the screen. The lid opens with one hand, and its hinges can rotate 180 degrees.

Lenovo Legion Y540 is a mid-sized gaming notebook that is capable of playing some of the most demanding PC games. It is ideal for gamers who want a portable, high-performance, and affordable gaming laptop.

Lenovo Legion Y540 is based on Intel’s Core i5-9300H processor. This processor is a quad-core processor with a base frequency of 2.2 GHz and a boost frequency of 3.2 GHz. It has been improved over the Legion Y530, offering a more powerful processor for a lower price.

Legion Y540 has a 144-Hz touchscreen. The display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (FHD) and uses an IPS panel.

Gaming performance

The Lenovo Legion Y540 is a gaming laptop that features a 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor. It also comes with a GeForce GTX 1660Ti graphics card. It’s got a 144Hz display and plenty of RAM.

Lenovo’s Legion Y540 is available in both 15 and 17-inch versions. Each model has a number of configuration options.

The Legion Y540 has a full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution screen and a 144Hz refresh rate. This is good for reducing motion blur and minimizing screen tearing. Aside from the 144Hz display, the Legion Y540’s screen is rated at 300 nits of brightness.

In addition to the GPU, the Legion Y540 has a Hexa-core 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor. With a 4.5GHz Turbo Boost, the processor can pump out an impressive frequency.

In addition to the processor, the Legion Y540 is equipped with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. The keyboard on the laptop has backlit keys that provide accurate and clicky feedback.
