Candy Condenser Dryer Problems

If you have a candy condenser dryer and are experiencing some problems, you can do a few things to get it up and to run again. The first thing you can do is check your thermostat. You may have a broken condenser box, or a lint build-up is causing it to shut off. The next step is inspecting the pump and ensuring it is working correctly.

Check for lint build-up.

It is a good idea to check for lint build-up in your candy condenser dryer. Not only is lint a fire hazard, but it also blocks the flow of air into your clothes. A clogged lint filter can cause the dryer to run out of steam before it finishes the cycle. Not only that, but the lint can also block the vents.

One way to tell if your candy condenser dryer is running efficiently is to remove the front panel and peek inside. There should be a flexible plastic venting system that is not sagging between hanging brackets.

While you are at it, take a look at your lint trap. You should see a metal catch that is positioned up from the floor. This is typically the easiest of the lint-related tasks to tackle.

Depending on the brand of your appliance, you may be able to remove the top lid and access the lint screen. You will need to unscrew the screws to do so. Once you have removed the screen, it is time to clean up.

Check for a blocked condenser box.

If you have problems with your dryer, one of the first things you should do is check the condenser box. You may find it clogged with lint or debris from your clothes. If this is the case, you will need to clean it and replace the gasket.
