BEC’s major contracts include New Muscat Airport, MC-1 package, and Duqm Frontier Township in southern Oman. At 2,000 MW Sur IPP, BEC is providing civil and mechanical works, including HRSGs and seawater intake systems, as well as fabricating, installing, and testing underground piping.

Projects

BEC undertakes integrated multidisciplinary construction projects as well as facilities management services for industrial, residential, and commercial properties. Muscat International Airport’s MC-1 package as a subcontractor to the CCC-TAV joint venture has installed an air conditioning capacity of 34,000 tonnes along with three 132/11kV secondary substations as well as 40 MVA standby power generation capacity.

BEC is performing early works at the 2,000MW Sur IPP-2 project, such as site development and temporary site facilities, as well as civil, mechanical, and electrical work. Package A involves installing two 250 MW gas turbine generators along with their BOP systems, while Package B involves building steam turbine generators along with seawater intakes and BOP systems.

Duqm Frontier Township features the construction and design of 94 villas, 250 apartments, landscaping, and internal roads by Duqm Construction Group; underground and above-ground piping is being installed at Takreers Ruwais refinery expansion; they also undertake underground and above-ground pipe testing at Takreers Ruwais refinery expansion; they take on major engineering contracts for Saih Rawi Depletion Compression Plant, Qalhat LNG Train I& II Train Salalah Methanol Plant Sohar Fertilizer Plant Marmul Polymer Flooding; among many others.
